Deb Archambault began playing rugby at Dartmouth in the spring of 1982, and began her coaching career as a Dartmouth player-coach in 1984.  She graduated cum laude in 1986, with a Visual Studies major and concentration in biology.  From 1987-1993 she split her time between Los Angeles and Hanover, coaching the DWRC during many of the fall and spring seasons, and coaching U.C.L.A. (DI Women’s Club Side) during the winter.  She also coached two representative sides while in California, heading up the Southern California Griffins in 1989-1990 and serving as assistant coach for the Pacific Coast Grizzlies from 1990- 1993.

Deb was a member of the Corey Ford Clubhouse Building Committee from 1991 to 2005.   While working on that committee she drafted the original architectural program for the building and was the primary fundraiser for the rugby alumnae.  In 1994 she moved back to Hanover permanently, in part to continue work on the committee, to fundraise, and to oversee the opening of the clubhouse.

Coach Archambault worked for thirteen years as a business manager and network administrator in a local law firm while coaching the team to its many titles and appearances in the National Round of Sixteen.  She has been coaching full-time since July, 2006. Coach Archambault was certified by USA Rugby in Level II (Club Side) and Level III (Representative Side) Coaching in 1989 and 1990.  She also attended a USA Elite Coaching Camp in 2007, and attends various specialty clinics every year.  She is a Level I Certified Rugby Referee, and is the 2010-2011 NERFU DI Women’s Collegiate Director.
